We had all been looking forward to singing at the Unitarian Church in Ansdell and joining in their Christmas celebrations. The Ladies also remembered from the previous year that they laid on some fabulous pies and Christmas fayre after the service.
This year was to be no different, we sang some lovely carols with the congregation and also three of our own Christmas songs. The church looked particularly christmassy and the readings that were given by various members of the congregation were wonderful – all about the journey to Bethlehem and birth of Jesus.
After the service everyone went in the hall to enjoy the cheese pies, mash and peas or the meat and potatoes pie and beetroot.
There was a tombola and raffle and our ladies won quite a lot of prizes. A great time was had by all. Many thanks to everyone that made our afternoon so enjoyable.
