Sunday 17th of July dawned sunny and bright for the ladies of Soundwaves Blackpool.
It was planned for us to be singing with a group of local choirs at Stanley Park Bandstand. There were 6 in all that turned out to entertain the masses on this fabulous sunny day. It all started off with a group sing in which Soundwaves Blackpool, Community Choir, The Trust Singers NHS, Poulton People’s Choir, St Annes Community Choir and Blackpool Male Voice Choir all gave a moving and powerful performance of ‘All you need is love’ by the Beatles and Jikelele (An African tribal song).
Soundwaves sang some of our real favourite songs including ‘San Fransisco Bay Blues’ and ‘Under The Boardwalk’. Our set lasted for thirty minutes and as we left the Bandstand you could see that everyone had turned out to have a great fun filled day. All of our Ladies stayed till the end to sing at the group Finale. The music was from Les Mis (Bring him home) and The Sound of Music (Your never walk alone/ climb every mountain).
The ladies at Soundwaves Blackpool had a wonderful day!
