Clifton Hospital Carers’ Day

The event started, as most singouts do, with our conductor, Mrs Patrica Grant sounding the pitch pipe to give us our first note .

We have no musical accompaniment. Just our start note. We began with a sure fire hit – Billy Joel’s “For the longest time”.
Followed by that famous song from The wizard of Oz “somewhere over the rainbow”.
It was lovely to see both carers and patients alike, smile and enjoy all of our songs. After our pinnacle end song ” With a little help from my friends ” which is also our dementia song, we bid farewell. Some of the ladies tried their luck on the Tombola, while the music team rep, P.R.O., secretary & chairman spoke on the hospital radio.
A great day was had by all!
