St Anne, Greenlands 60th Anniversary celebration

As we all arrived at St. Anne’s church the evening sun was just setting, the congregation and mothers Union group were just finishing a hymn. I remember from my girls brigade days. As our Soundwaves ladies filed in, we found ourselves in the vestry area.

After doing some vocal warming up techniques, we just had time for a photo opportunity, before coming into the main hall.

Our set lasted just over 30 minutes and we even managed to add a song in to the repertoire that we have only just learned for another event later in the year. That song was The 23rd Psalm “The Lord is my shepherd”.

We finished with one of our all time favourites “That’s what friends are for” which was a very good song to end with as it’s clear that the Mothers Union is a strong group of friends that help each other .

Everyone tucked into the supper that was laid on by The Mothers Union, it was a real pleasure to be a part of such a wonderful evening.
